Zero Assumption Recovery (ZAR) is software for recoverying lost or deleted files on your hard drives or on your photo camera's memory card(s). It has an intuitive interface that allows you to follow the process easily. First, you must choose the type of recovery you want to perform; then, select the drive(s) you want to explore. The program will display a graphic interface, akin to Windows' defragmentation tool, which shows system files, bad sectors and data fragments. Next, you will see all your disk's folders where you can select those files you want to recover. A simple legend serves you as a guide for selecting the recoverable files. In short, the files you can recover appear in green, while those unrecoverable appear in red. Then, you can set the folder or drive where you want to copy the recovered files. It is recommended not to save recovered files in the same drive or device analyzed.
The trial version is limited to recover up to 4 folders per run. You must purchase the full version if you want to use this program with all its features.
